Rules and Requirements for Listing Feeder Cattle on Alabama Feeder Cattle Council Website

1. Cattle to be listed are represented only by owner or representative
2. Cattle must be represented accurately (misrepresentation hurts your reputation and that of the council)
3. Cattle must be in good condition (healthy and of at least average flesh)
4. Home raised feeder calves must have been born and raised on the owners farm/ranch
5. Cattle listed as steers must be castrated
6. Health history of feeder cattle should comply with industry health and management standards

1. Cattle to be listed are represented only by owner or representative
2. Cattle must be represented accurately (misrepresentation hurts your reputation and that of the council)
3. Cattle must be in good condition (healthy and of at least average flesh)
4. Replacement females can be open or bred
5. Open replacement females must be guaranteed open
6. Open heifers must weigh a minimum of 500 lbs.
7. Health history should show compliance with industry standard health and management practices
8. Bred heifers must meet the above requirements and be confirmed pregnant
9. Bred cows are eligible for listing provided they meet the above requirements
